Lilliana

I love a good rainbow, and I picked up some balls of Caron Skinny Cakes in the Rainbow color way because, well, rainbows. I also really enjoy Hooked on Sunshine‘s patterns, so I decided to make Lilliana. This is one of the non repeating patterns, which means it’s challenging, but also I never got bored. I think I ended up using about four cakes in total. Unfortunately the yarn is now discontinued, and I realized that I probably wouldn’t have enough to finish the whole pattern as written (it is 11 parts total). The Hooked on Sunshine Facebook group is really wonderful and helpful, and I happened upon a post where someone had figured out how to move from part 9 to part 11. For me it involved a little fudging of the first round of part 11, but I made it work, and I had plenty of yarn to finish (although I would not have had enough if I hadn’t skipped part 10).
