Temperature anomaly scarf

To celebrate the AMS Centennial (1919–2019) I knitted a scarf to show the temperature anomaly (departure from the century average 1900–2000) for Suffolk County in Massachusetts. The cool colors represent cooler years, and the warm colors represent warmer years, with darker colors indicating greater departures from the century average. It was a fun to tie together two of my big interests (weather and crafting) into one project.

Project details

Yarn: Valley Yarns Superwash Aran (11 colors)

Needle: Size 8

Pattern: CO 25. Knit every row. Each year is four rows (2 garter ridges).
